I'll just say /signed since I have nothing more in-depth to say. I should've looked at this before.

Thank you all for the continued interest and support in this matter.
Your support and feedback is much appreciated.
Updated original post to include recent signatures. Also added a link to a related post. One can consider voicing out their support for this proposed armor system in there too.
I will continue to support this topic of discussion until the day Guild Wars 2 is launched.

This is an AWESOME way to keep me from having to buy perfect salvage kits or a whole other set of armor just so I can run a different build. I like most of my armor as is and don't want to have to switch my looks to play, say, air instead of fire. In a game as varied as GW, where the same class can play a massive number of different ways, not being able to change primary stat givers/buffs is obnoxious and limiting. Dunno about the rest of you, but I don't have the storage for all that stuff as it is.

think of how much storage space this would save. I have almost half of my characters inventory full of nothing but armor.

It's not needed, you can either make do with what you have or eat the extra costs, these are petty wants not needs.
Besides that, might be cool if partially implemented in GW2.

YOU don't need but IT IS needed.
If you play with all your characters, you end up with no space for all the armors you get. And thus, you end up having to delete old armors to get new ones.

NOT Signed, whats the point of pvpers working hard and getting reward point armor when others can now change thier pve armor so easy this totaly makes all the work pvpers put in into thier armor and reward points usless, I would never sign this.

I think this is a brilliant idea and a storage saver. It might also get more PvE interested in PvP as this saves time for Armor builds for PvE characters doing PvP.

/signed for v2 and v3
would realy like to see this actually, because :
a) it saves storage space for people that like to have multiple armor skins (i stopped buying armor cause i cannot store it)
b) it would make PvE toons more or less the same than PvP toons when it comes to picking armor bonusses/insignia's/...
might be wise to add some sort of notifier though when you start something (zone to instance/start mission/enter PvP) with less than your maximum AL ...

I love this idea, I'm not a pvp-er, but ideas that frees up storage/character inventory usually trigers the following from me:

/signed sooooooooooooooooooo much
This would save so much room for armor.
And I like how it'd like, absorb the armor skins and stuff. Means we wont only have 1 armor skin.
And with the headsets, I also agree that it should be +1 to what ever the current rune is that is in there
But how would this work for heroes? Just the same?

Been wanting this for quite some time now, I limit myself to only the elite armors that I like the look of, but that is still 3 sets per char average. hell I have 6 on my ele... what do I need 6 for?
I know others have every set for a toon as well, this would be a much appriciated upgrade.
